We’re looking for a dynamic and hands-on Production Manager to take the lead in our frontline operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in continuous processing environments such as plastics, extrusion, compounding, chemicals, or food production.

Your Impact

Lead Day-to-Day Operations

• Ensure consistent output of high-quality compounded plastics, delivered on time and within spec

• Track and act on key production metrics (throughput, downtime, scrap) to boost performance

• Champion standard work, 5S, and lean practices like SMED to streamline operations and minimize waste

Build a High-Performing Team

• Motivate, mentor, and support production operators to drive results and engagement

• Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous learning

• Coordinate cross-training initiatives to increase operational flexibility

• Tackle challenges related to attendance, performance, and morale head-on

Drive Continuous Improvement

• Apply root-cause analysis and data-driven decisions to solve production challenges

• Partner with quality, maintenance, scheduling, and leadership to remove roadblocks

• Inspire a proactive, customer-centric mindset that embraces innovation and growth

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s degree required

• 8+ years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics, extrusion, or compounding (other continuous processing industries also considered)

• Proven success leading frontline teams and driving operational change

• Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
