Production Manager - Plastics - Base Salary to 90k/year - Vineland, NJ

• Our client, an in-house glass and plastic manufacturer, is seeking a Production Manager to be responsible for directing & coordinating the activities of the plastic production department.
• In this role, the Production Manager will oversee the manufacturing activities and optimize processes & production, while minimizing costs and maintaining quality. The team is looking for a hands-on Production Manager who has abilities to process machines, be on the production floor, and assist in mentoring the team. Senior Process Technicians looking to advance their career are also encouraged to apply for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee Injection Molding & Blow Molding Processes
• Troubleshoot issues & improve cycle times
• Provide Technical Leadership for the Production Department & document molding processes
• Responsible for the Production Schedule to meet Customer Requirements & Timelines
• Maintain Inventory for Plastics Department
• Train employees, assigning and directing work
• Plan production operations, establish priorities and schedule for manufacturing products
• Prepare & review production and operating reports
• Resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
• Inspect machines, equipment, and work environment to ensure operational performance, optimum utilization, and employee safety
• Set and meet production goals
• Maintain ISO 9001 procedures and work instructions
• Work closely with HR & Safety Committee to ensure OSHA compliance & enforce job safety

Qualifications:

• Robust background in Injection Molding required
• 2+ years processing and troubleshooting injection molding machines
• Background in leadership/management is a plus
• Ability to lead molding production team to next level
• Hands on troubleshooting abilities
• Mechanic aptitude
• Use MS Office Word and Excel

Compensation:

• Compensation for this role includes a base salary to 90k/year plus an annual bonus. Our client also offers comprehensive health benefits and 401k with a company match.
