  • Responsibilities

    Our client, a leading packaging manufacturer, is seeking a results-driven Production Manager with expertise in manufacturing operations, production leadership, and continuous improvement.

    The Production Manager will work cross-functionally to optimize plant performance, achieve operational goals, and support the company's long-term growth objectives.

    Responsibilities

    • Lead daily manufacturing operations to consistently achieve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
    • Drive improvements in labor productivity, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), schedule attainment, scrap reduction, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
    • Develop, coach, and mentor supervisors and production teams while building a culture of accountability and high performance.
    • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, Engineering, and other departments to improve plant performance and resolve operational challenges.
    • Monitor production KPIs, analyze operational data, conduct root cause investigations, and implement corrective actions that deliver measurable business results.
    • Manage workforce planning, staffing, employee development, performance management, and training initiatives to strengthen operational capabilities.
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that reduce costs, improve throughput, and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Ensure compliance with all company safety standards, quality systems, and manufacturing best practices.
    • Foster a collaborative, hands-on leadership environment focused on operational excellence and employee engagement.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in a fast-paced production environment.
    • Proven success leading supervisors, production teams, and multiple manufacturing shifts.
    • Strong knowledge of production planning, labor management, manufacturing KPIs, OEE, schedule attainment, and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Demonstrated ability to improve productivity, quality, safety, operational performance, and cost efficiency.
    • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing reporting tools.
    • Excellent leadership, coaching, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to operational decision-making.
