Assist the Paint Shop by performing support tasks including sanding, cleaning, masking, part preparation, and material handling to ensure an efficient painting process.
Prepare parts for paint using sanding, grinding, masking, and cleaning methods.
Assist painters by staging materials, mixing paint when directed, and maintaining paint booth cleanliness.
Handle, move, and position parts, components, and materials as required.
Inspect parts before and after paint preparation to ensure quality standards are met.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and safe material-handling practices.
Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting parts throughout the facility.
Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors or lead personnel.
Must have previous experience in industrial painting or paint preparation.
Basic understanding of hand tools, sanders, grinders, and general shop equipment.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to learn painting processes and safety procedures.
Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
Ability to work in environments with dust, fumes, and noise (with proper PPE provided).
Ability to safely operate tools and equipment used in paint preparation.
