    Join a Leader in Compounding Pharmacy as a 503A Production Technician FarmaKeio, a custom compounding pharmacy, is looking for a motivated and precise 503A Production Pharmacy Technician to join our team. Here's what you'll be doing: • Precision Compounding: You'll accurately compound medications tailored to specific patient needs, ensuring every prescription meets our high standards. • Paperwork & Documentation: You will meticulously process and manage all compounding paperwork, ensuring full compliance with federal and state regulations. • Team Collaboration: You'll maintain a pristine work environment, help manage shipping and inventory, and provide support to pharmacists to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow. Responsibilities: A Day in the Life of a Pharmacy Technician As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring every prescription is handled with care and precision. You'll work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, contributing to a seamless and compliant pharmacy environment. Key Responsibilities:Patient & Prescription Management: You'll accurately input and verify patient information and prescriptions, playing a key role in ensuring patients receive the right medication. This includes politely and effectively communicating with patients and other healthcare professionals to build strong relationships. • Medication Preparation & Compounding: Following strict safety guidelines, you'll prepare and compound medications. You'll also be responsible for maintaining our compounding equipment and ensuring all records and labels are precise and compliant. • Supply Chain & Logistics: You'll manage the flow of medications by receiving incoming shipments, organizing inventory, and carefully packaging and preparing products for delivery. • Team Leadership & Collaboration: As a mentor, you'll train and support new team members, providing feedback to help them grow. You’ll work closely with pharmacists and other departments to solve operational challenges and find ways to improve our processes. • Safety & Compliance: You'll be a champion for safety, helping to maintain a clean and organized workspace that meets all regulatory standards. You’ll also ensure all documentation is accurate and ready for pharmacist review. • Operational Excellence: You'll contribute to our culture of continuous improvement, suggesting ways to enhance workflows and patient service. Qualifications: Physical Requirements • Close visual acuity is needed for computer work and reading. • Frequent use of hands for keyboarding and handling small components. • Frequent standing, walking, and sitting; prolonged standing may be required. • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. • Regular verbal and auditory communication is required. • Limited exposure to hazardous substances; safety protocols minimize risk. • Reasonable accommodation is available for individuals with disabilities. Educational Experience Requirements • High School Diploma or equivalent required. • Certified pharmacy technician in good standing in the state of New Mexico. • Prior shipping and receiving experience preferred but not required. • Familiarity with pharmacy operations, including inventory management and shipping processes, is a plus. • Experience in a regulated environment, such as a 503A or 503B compounding pharmacy, is highly preferred. • Basic understanding of FDA regulations, USP standards, and cGMP principles is beneficial. Safety and Compliance • Employees must adhere to all OSHA safety standards to ensure a safe working environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to infection control procedures. • Adhere to all New Mexico State Board of Health regulations, laser safety protocols, and FarmaKeio standards. • Safeguard patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines, ensuring that all patient data is handled securely and appropriately. • Complete mandatory HIPAA training and stay updated on privacy and security policies. • Report any potential HIPAA violations or data breaches immediately to the designated compliance officer. • Maintain a commitment to continuing education to stay updated on best practices and innovations in the field.
