    Position Summary

    We are seeking dedicated and skilled Production Planner and Materiel Controller to join our Advanced Manufacturing Team.

    The Production Planner and Material Controller will be responsible for coordinating production schedules, managing material availability, and ensuring efficient manufacturing operations to meet customer demand. This role is key to balancing production capacity, inventory levels, and supply chain flow within our fast-paced solar panel manufacturing environment.To succeed in this role, you will need a strong work ethic, excellent communication,problem solving, and to be detail oriented with strong analytical thinking.     Shift : Monday-Thursday, 6:00am to 6:00pm

    Key Responsibilities :

    Production Planning:

    • Develop, maintain, and adjust the master production schedule based on sales forecasts, production capacity, and material availability.
    • Collaborate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to ensure schedules align with business objectives and manufacturing capabilities.
    • Analyze production performance metrics and adjust schedules as necessary to meet output and delivery targets.
    • Identify and mitigate risks that could impact production schedules, including material shortages or equipment downtime.

    Material Control:

    • Oversee the flow of materials from procurement through manufacturing, ensuring adequate supply to meet production plans.
    • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment orders to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
    • Coordinate with suppliers, logistics, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records and participate in regular cycle counts and inventory audits.

    Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Work closely with procurement to manage lead times, vendor performance, and cost efficiency.
    • Partner with quality assurance to ensure materials and components meet required standards before production use.
    • Communicate regularly with sales and customer service teams to update on production timelines and order fulfillment status.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related field preferred
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or materiels management in manufacturing
    • Strong Excel and data analysis
    • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and inventory control
