    Objectives of the position:

    **The Production Planner / Purchasing & Inventory Systems Specialist plays a key role in ensuring efficient production scheduling, procurement, and inventory accuracy to support overall operational performance. Working closely with Production and Finance. This position helps coordinate material availability, maintain inventory integrity, and support systems that drive planning and reporting functions. **

    Core Skills

    Key Responsibilities:

    Production Planning:

    • Production planning, order planning, capacity planning, and work preparation for production and warehouse operations based on input from Sales, Operations, and Quality management
    • Ensure correct order processing, material management and warehouse resources using the ERP system
    • Plan sampling processes in coordination with Sales, and other departments
    • Maintain and update master data in the ERP system for CCN
    • Create operations plans and manufacturing orders
    • Schedule and release production orders
    • Monitor order execution and production progress

    Purchasing:

    • Procure and manage raw materials, packaging and auxiliary materials
    • Perform incoming goods inspections and provide supplier instructions regarding quality requirements
    • Coordinate delivery schedules and external service providers
    • Identify and qualify new suppliers to support the company's dual‑supplier strategy
    • Conduct supplier audits
    • Supplier management including negotiating pricing and commercial terms with existing and new suppliers.

    Inventory Management:

    • Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
    • Monitor inventory levels and establish reorder points to prevent shortages or excess inventory.
    • Conduct cycle counts and assists with physical inventory audits.
    • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

    ERP & IT Systems Support:

    • Provide operational support for ERP systems, inventory tracking tools, barcode scanners, and reporting systems.
    • Maintain accurate system data including item master records, supplier information, bills of materials, and inventory locations.
    • Assist with troubleshooting system issues related to purchasing, production orders, and inventory transactions.
    • Serve as a liaison between Switzerland IT and third-party IT provider to identify system improvements and support system updates.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in operational planning within a manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Diploma and 3-5 years’ experience in production planning, purchasing, inventory control, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment preferred.

    Technical Skills

    • Experience using ERP or MRP systems for production planning, purchasing, and inventory transactions (experience with proAlpha is an advantage)
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking data and reporting.
    • Experience with inventory management systems and barcode scanning tools is preferred.
    • Experience in IT support.
