Job Summary
The Cables Factory / Side-Line Rugged is responsible for performing a wide range of cable assembly, wiring, testing, and packaging duties across multiple production areas. This position is cross-trained to support various departments based on workflow needs and is essential to maintaining on-time delivery, quality standards, and operational efficiency. The Employee must follow established work instructions, adhere to safety standards, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform wiring, component installation, board installation, and cable harnessing according to established work instructions and processes.
- Float between production lines, including Sideline / Rugged
- cable operations, side-line assembly, and other departments as required by workflow demands.
- Use provided materials, tools, and the ERP system (CORE) to complete daily operational and documentation tasks.
- Test cables for proper functionality and perform retesting as needed to meet product specifications.
- Verify that all cables and components are correctly labeled, identified, counted, and matched to required part numbers.
- Apply correct packaging codes and ensure that all labels are accurately placed, legible, and undamaged.
- Input pins, connectors, and other components according to assembly process requirements.
- Inspect work at all stages to maintain product quality and compliance with company standards.
- Complete all assigned tasks within established takt times to support efficient production flow.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OSHA safety regulations at all times.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in every department served.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience in cable assembly or manufacturing preferred but not required; training provided.
- Ability to read and follow written work instructions, diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic computer skills and ability to operate ERP systems.

- Ability to stand, sit, reach, or perform repetitive hand movements for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Manual dexterity required for pin insertion, wiring, and component handling.
- Visual requirements include close vision, color differentiation, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Work performed in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to tools, machinery, and materials associated with cable assembly.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
