The Production Supervisor (2nd Shift) is responsible for overseeing all production activities during the second shift to ensure output targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and workflow efficiencies are consistently met. This role leads production employees, coordinates with support departments, and ensures shift operations run smoothly and professionally. Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct supervision, coaching, and support to all production employees on 2nd shift.
Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure employees meet production expectations.
Conduct shift meetings, communicate goals, and address issues in real-time.
Enforce company policies, attendance, and disciplinary procedures as needed.
Plan, organize, and control production activities to meet daily production schedules.
Monitor workflow to ensure smooth operations, adjusting staffing or processes when needed.
Review production metrics and investigate variances in output or efficiency.
Ensure proper documentation of production data, work orders, and shift logs.

Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
Complete daily shift reports, timekeeping reviews, staffing documentation, and performance notes.
Participate in evaluations, corrective action documentation, and employee recognition.
Ensure employees use proper PPE and follow all safety rules.
Report and document incidents, near misses, and unsafe behaviors immediately.
Participate in safety audits, toolbox talks, and corrective action planning.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
Ability to read work instructions, production schedules, and quality specifications.
Strong communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
Ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly.
Must be able to work required shift schedule and overtime if needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for prolonged periods (8–12 hours).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Ability to walk, reach, bend, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work in manufacturing environments that may include heat, noise, and machinery exposure.
