    We are recruiting a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR to support our painting crews on their residential and commercial jobsites to help make sure we are consistently Delivering What We Promise and earning Customers for Life.

    POSITION OVERVIEW: The Production Supervisor fills a key role on the Production Team, providing daily jobsite support, coaching and training to our painting crews with the goal of maximizing productivity, profitability, quality and safety every painting project while delivering Extraordinary Customer Experiences. The Production Supervisor reports to the Production Manager, with the primary focusing being on Jobs-In-Progress, spending a majority of the time visiting customer/client locations throughout Maine. That said, the Production Supervisor will also support the Production Manager and Production Scheduler with other tasks and responsibilities as requested.

    At CertaPro Painters of Maine, we complete approximately (500) residential and commercial painting projects per year (both exterior and interior). Success is measured by Jobs Completed (Revenue), Gross Margin (Profitability), Painter Productivity, and overall Customer Satisfaction measured through Google Reviews, Net Promoter Score Rating and Customer Referrals. More importantly, success is defined by fulfilling the company's Core Values on a daily basis, providing customers with a Professional Painting Experience, and through developing and coaching our painters so that they can consistently meet or exceed customer expectations.

    Please be aware that this position is NOT available as a remote position even though a majority of time will be spent on jobsites away from the office.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    Production Management – 40%

    Hand Off with painters to ensure they understand the job scope, best work practices and desired results for projects managing.

    Support painters throughout production process

    Daily Updates with painters to maintain job status awareness

    Daily Updates to staff with job status

    Jobsite visits for projects managing

    Assist Production Manager as need with planning and scheduling

    Customer Communication – 20%

    In-person Job review with Customer at Job start

    Update customer on Jobs-In-Progress schedule changes

    Respond to customer questions, concerns and changes

    Update customer on Job details and status with each visit

    Customer satisfaction call/meeting when Job complete

    Quality Assurance – 20%

    Ensure that painters are using best practices for the assigned tasks

    First 10 Minutes

    Jobsite visits within 48-hours of start for all jobs lasting longer than 1-day

    Audits of Pride Walk with JSS

    Warranty/Go-back management support

    Safety & Environmental – 10%

    Review safety requirements with painters during Hand Off

    Ensure that EPA RRP Lead Safe practices and procedures

    Monthly safety topic communication to painters

    Promote a 100% accident-free workplace for staff, painters and customers

    Painter Orientation & Training – 10%

    Manage/conduct weekly recruiting activities for new painters

    Orient new painters on Certainty Service System and other CertaPro processes and procedures

    Ongoing training and coaching of painters to promote CSS and CertaPro processes and procedures

    Conduct monthly production meetings

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

    Three years or more of related supervisory experience in production/construction management.

    Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with painters and customers.

    Strong organization skills, with the ability to plan and schedule production resources for complex and rapidly changing schedules.

    Ability to manage multiple tasks in a coordinated and strategic manner, meeting both long-term and short-term schedule requirements.

    Strong customer management skills.

    Ability to work independently and be self-directed while simultaneously collaborating with the CertaPro Team.

    NOTE: Painting experience is not required but preferred. That said, if you do not have painting experience, you will need to demonstrate the ability to learn and coach technical skills that you may not have mastered yourself.
