Production Supervisor Role
The Production Supervisor oversees the daily intake, quality control, and outbound shipment of materials to ensure maximum throughput and operational efficiency. This role exists to bridge the gap between facility management and floor operations, ensuring that all processing targets and safety standards are met daily.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities
Oversee and lead a dedicated team of seven production employees to meet daily throughput goals
Manage the intake of materials and execute procedures to accurately identify and classify incoming stock
Supervise the container identification process, ensuring every unit is assigned a unique ID and weighed upon receipt
Monitor and maintain hopper levels at all times to ensure an uninterrupted production flow
Coordinate the collection of qualitative and quantitative data, including photographing containers and recording analysis results
Direct the sampling and analysis of materials to determine the most effective outbound destination
Analyze processing data to determine the final destination and customer for all outbound materials
Create accurate picklists for outbound deliveries to ensure customers receive the correct materials
Maintain a safe and organized work environment while fostering a culture of accountability and growth
Production Supervisor Reporting Relationships
The Production Supervisor reports directly to the Facility Manager and is responsible for the direct supervision of a seven-person production team.

Exhibit strong managerial and leadership skills with a proven ability to coordinate production schedules
Possess excellent problem-solving skills to optimize facility layout and material flow
Demonstrate a high level of technical aptitude and the capability to learn complex industrial recycling processes
Maintain a detail-oriented approach to data collection and system entry for qualitative and quantitative records
Show a strong commitment to company culture and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Apply analytical thinking to determine material destinations based on sampling results
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure all operational targets are met
Display a proactive attitude toward creating and refining procedures to enhance team performance
