Production Supervisor / Sanitation Worker Lead – Overnight Shift
Location: Chesterfield, VA
Schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Monday through Saturday
Compensation: $20–$26 per hour | Up to 72 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead our team of sanitation worker professionals and production staff. As a key supervisor, you will ensure every sanitation worker and operator follows safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing practices. In this fast-paced environment, the supervisor plays a critical role in coordinating workflows, coaching each sanitation worker, and optimizing day-to-day production. The ideal candidate understands complex operations and knows how to motivate a sanitation worker team to deliver consistent, top-tier results. Our goal is to ensure that production and sanitation worker processes work together to profitably deliver maximum quality products.
Responsibilities
Accomplishes manufacturing staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures as the on-shift supervisor
Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees while supporting growth and development across production and sanitation teams
Maintains workflow by monitoring process steps, setting processing variables, observing control points and equipment, and implementing cost reduction strategies
Completes production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, and reporting shift results
Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organizational standards and performance benchmarks
Ensures equipment operation by coordinating repairs, evaluating new equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Provides manufacturing information by compiling, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and responding to operational requests
Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, and personnel requirements
Maintains a safe and clean work environment by enforcing compliance with all safety, sanitation, and company policies
Resolves personnel issues by investigating concerns, identifying solutions, and recommending corrective action as a people-focused supervisor
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing industry publications, and participating in professional development
Contributes to team success by accomplishing related duties as needed
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role
Experience using manufacturing machinery and production tools
Strong organizational and leadership abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
High School Diploma required; a technical or engineering degree is a plus
