Production Operator
Are you ready to be part of a team responsible for operating our modern, high-speed corrugator, a large machine that produces corrugated sheets? This is a dynamic role that offers the opportunity to learn all aspects of the corrugator, from the wet end to the dry end and the control room.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and adjust machinery to produce high-quality corrugated sheets at maximum speed with minimal waste.
- Prepare and manage roll stock, including scanning, tagging, and handling, to ensure accurate inventory.
- Communicate with team members via radio to coordinate production and maintain product quality.
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Assist in various tasks throughout the facility as needed.
- Work effectively and efficiently to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
Skills:
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and concentration.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Push, pull, and stand for long periods on a production floor.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to work with sharp tools.
- Visual acuity and ability to hear instructions and warnings in a noisy environment.
Work Environment & Schedule
This is a manufacturing environment that can be noisy with moving machinery. The facility can also be hot during the summer. We operate 24 hours a day, 5 days a week, with occasional Saturdays. You must be able to work varying shifts and overtime as required.
