The purpose of the Weigher/Extruder position is to assist in the production process by weighing raw materials and extruding powders while maintaining all safety and quality standards established by the government, state, and CompletePet. This role reports directly to the Production Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
· Dispensing Raw Materials: Measure and dispense ingredients according to specific formulas or recipes.
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of materials used and processes followed, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
· Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials match batch records and meet quality standards.
· Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
· Monitoring Processes: Periodically check equipment and processes, reporting any abnormalities to supervisors.
· Loading and Unloading: Handle raw materials, including lifting and transporting them within the facility.
· Effectively communicate any deviations or issues related to any processes in production.
· Accurately weigh out product.
· Abide by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) established by the company.
· Appropriately annotate all forms by following Good Documentation Practices.
· Perform all daily cleaning in an efficient and timely manner.
Requirements
· Education: High school diploma or GED.
· Skills: Mathematical abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
· Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing or weighing operations is often preferred but not always required. Training will be provided. Reliable Transportation and the ability to be consistently punctual.
Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand for the duration of a shift on a concrete floor.
· Ability to lift, carry, and stack up to 50 lbs multiple times throughout a shift.
· Ability to walk, bend, squat, and climb stairs.
· Dexterity in joints (shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers), involving continuous repetitive motion for most workstations.
