Production & Sales Assistant (Hybrid Role)
Best Choice Roofing of Greater St. Louis – St. Charles, MO Hybrid: ~10 hrs Production • ~30 hrs Sales
About the Role
This hybrid position blends hands-on roofing production support with an entry-level outside sales path. You’ll assist job sites, run materials, complete repairability tests, and support our production manager (10 hours/week) — while spending most of your time in the field generating leads, inspecting roofs, and helping homeowners through the roofing process (30 hours/week).
This role is ideal for someone with roofing experience who wants to take advantage of the earning possibility of sales while staying close to the operational side of the business.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of roofing or construction experience
Valid driver’s license & truck to transport materials
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and climb ladders
Strong communication skills & detail orientation
Comfortable working outdoors in varying conditions
Primary Responsibilities
Production Support (~10 hrs/week)
Emergency tarping for storm-damaged properties
Deliver/pick up materials from suppliers and job sites
Perform shingle repairability tests
Install attic fans, ridge vents, box vents, and basic ventilation components
Pick up, organize, and submit Certificates of Completion
Inspect and document property damage via CompanyCam
Assist with scheduling, job prep, and production timelines
Provide on-site support and represent the company professionally
Review EagleView/Hover reports for measurements & accuracy
Handle light repairs, punchlist items, and jobsite quality checks
Sales Responsibilities (~30 hrs/week)
Knock doors to generate new leads in assigned territories
Educate homeowners on roof damage, insurance processes, and product options
Conduct roof inspections with ladder or drone
Write estimates and contracts accurately
Present repairability findings to homeowners
Log every touch (call/text/email/visit) in JobNimbus — no exceptions
Attend required Monday & Friday Sales meetings, training sessions, and team events
Represent BCR professionally in the community
Preferred Skills (Not Required, but a Plus)
Familiarity with vinyl siding, soffit/fascia, and gutters
Experience using JobNimbus or similar CRM
Comfortable talking with homeowners and insurance adjusters
Basic carpentry/handyman skills
Knowledge of OSHA/safety guidelines on residential job sites

Schedule
Monday & Friday mandatory morning meetings

Production tasks scheduled around job needs (generally 8am - 10am M-F)
