    Job Description

    A Collector is responsible to collect delinquent account. A collector communicates directly with consumers to evaluate their unique circumstance to determine the best course of action for account resolution. Collector assists consumer on account resolution options while utilizes various collection strategies to negotiate repayment.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Communicate directly with consumers to collect delinquent accounts

    • Communicate clearly & accurately with consumers

    • Overcome stalls and objections

    • Utilize effective decision-making and leadership skills

    • Maintain thorough working knowledge of FDCPA, UDAAP, & Federal/State Regulatory Law

    • Maintain high standards of professionalism and regulatory compliance

    • Meet or exceed individual and departmental monthly budgets

    • Follow all company and client policies and procedures

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum 2 years college experience preferred

    • Third-party collection experience a plus

    • Customer service background

    • Knowledge of FDCPA, UDAAP, & Federal/State Regulatory Law a plus

    • Excellent verbal communication skills

    • Ability to remain calm in emotionally tense situations

    • Demonstrate a positive attitude and professional demeanor in the workplace
