We are looking for a Professional Caregiver to join our team! You will work directly with an 83 y/o gentleman in Shrewsbury, PA, following a one-on-one care plan in his home. You will operate with a big heart, not only by providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets patient needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior caregiving or Hospice experience is a plus. The client has one small friendly dog (poodle/lhasa also mix). He currently lives in the home with his son and daughter-in-law and gets around with his rolater.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-1pm
Responsibilities
Assist patients with daily activities such as moving in and out of chairs, baths, wheelchairs, or automobiles
Care for patients by changing bed linens, light meal prep, very light house keeping, or assisting with personal care
Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
Build relationships with patients by conversing or reading aloud to help keep them mentally healthy and alert, games and excellent socialization are a plus
Give pre-measured medications
Engage patients in exercises or other activities
Qualifications
Graduated from an accredited Home Health Aide program or
High School Diploma or GED
One year prior professional experience
Driver’s license required
