    Your Role within the Company:

    In this role you will be driving forward innovation and development within this Engineering-focused organization. This position will involve research and development projects including New product development which will include all aspects design “from problem to product”. You will be mentoring and guiding a small team of junior Engineers while you are also working on your own projects. This position will have a high degree of freedom and resources available for design work.

    Mentoring: 25-30%- Working with junior Engineers to help develop solid processes, provide support for internal projects, and assist in your design plans.

    Design: 30-40% New product data including mechanical models and drawings, sketches, and bills of materials that should balance with performance and cost criteria

    Prototyping: 30-40% Using mechanical design techniques and simulation tools to prototype new designs using electronic assemblies, sheet metal fabricators, machined parts, injection molding, and tolerance stack-ups.

    Team Information:

    This team consists of 2 junior Engineers with a focus on New Development. This individual will be coming in at a Mid to Senior Level, expected to partner and mentor with junior developers on design, testing and regulatory matters. The average tenure on this position is 12 years with the company. There is very little turnover, and a positive culture that focuses on employee retention.

    Background Profile:

    Experience with modern 3D CAD and data management tools

    Solid detailed drafting skills (i.e. tolerances, surface finish, GD&T, BOM’s and Revision Control)

    Great Communication Skills

    A desire to work with Engineers and Scientists

    College Degree Required

    Digital test equipment (Signal Generators, Logic Analyzers, etc.)

    Radio Frequency experience BIG PLUS
