    Job Description

    PROFESSIONAL SEARCH GROUP is seeking an INFORMATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR to join their clients team! The INFORMATION SECURITY ADMINISTRATOr reports to the SVP Risk Management and is accountable for ensuring appropriate controls are in place for the security of information and physical assets. This position is responsible for safeguarding information by ensuring that security risks are identified, assessed, and accurately reported. This position acts as the focal point for security compliance related activities and ensures local procedures and activities comply with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, procedures, guidelines and standards. In addition is responsible for the Vendor Management program development, implementation, auditing reports and responses to ensure timely and effective corrective actions.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science and/or information security.
    • Security certification preferred (i.e. CISSP, GIAC, etc.)
    • Minimum 3+ years’ security related work experience, preferably with a financial institution and knowledge of overall credit union operations.
    • Experience with network security assessment tools, perimeter security, social engineering and other aspects of corporate security practices.
    • Familiarity with project management tools and techniques
    • Understanding of audit principles
    • Ability to read and understand computer system documentation.
    • Ability to use good judgment to solve problems efficiently and accurately and handle complex details.
    • Ability to work with a high degree of independence, yet also maintain professional and effective working relationships with team members, vendors, auditors and examiners.
    • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
    • Knowledge of Information Security risk and industry best practices.
    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and AFCU policies and procedures.

    Position is on-site in Brea, CA (with hybrid option after 90 days)
