JOB TYPE: Full-time

SALARY: $17.79 / hour

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position works with families referred from the CPS and Ongoing Unit to maintain safety in homes where children are at risk for removal.  In addition, this position provides services to youth who have been re-unified with their family after being placed in residential treatment, foster care or treatment foster care. The position also provides services to families involved with the child welfare system that are at risk for out-of- home placement due to abuse or neglect issues.  

Responsibilities:

• Interview and evaluate clients to complete the intake process
• Evaluate youth and families for treatment needs and refer to appropriate resources
• Conduct face-to-face contact with families, per program standards, to ensure safety and cooperation with safety plan 
• Complete all required paperwork/documentation, per program standards
• Transporting clients as needed

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field
• Position must keep current on information pertaining to client/family needs through seminars, trainings, media, text and research
• One year of experience working with at-risk youth and families preferred
• A valid driver's license, proof of valid automobile insurance and reliable transportation are required
• A background check and drug test are required prior to offer of employment
