    JOB TYPE: Part-time leading to full-time

    SALARY: $15.66


    This position provides mentoring, supervision and support to referred youth as well as assists youth in the follow through and success of their individualized goals.  Services include individual meetings, structured recreational activities that build social skills, crisis intervention, school support and parent contact.

    _This position will ideally be working in Manitowoc and Sheboygan County. _

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Analyze youth capabilities, strengths and problems to determine the services required to meet the unique needs of youth.
    • Implement, evaluate and review youth goals in collaboration with team members, youth and their families.
    • Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for youth in school, the community and during emergency and crisis situations.
    • Attend youth/family team meetings.
    • Report youth progress to the County Department of Human Services and make appropriate recommendations.
    • Formulate units, monthly reports, and discharge summaries per program standards.
    • Organize and facilitate individual meetings and structured recreational activities that assist youth in developing pro-social skills and connections.
    • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and obey all traffic laws.  Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
    • Safely transport clients as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

    • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field.
    • Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
    • One year of experience working with at-risk youth and families preferred.
    • Must be able to pass criminal background check and drug screen.
