JOB TYPE: Full-time
SALARY: $16.00 - $18.00 an hour depending on experience
The Kinship Care Assessor is responsible for determining eligibility for kinship care and monitoring client’s compliance with eligibility requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Determine eligibility for Voluntary Kinship Care applications in accordance with DCF 48, DCF 58 & DCF 56.
- Assist with on-going program planning development.
- Conduct reviews to determine continuation of kinship care payments.
- Accurately enter information into the state’s eWiSACWIS system and Professional Services Group’s databases.
- Attend Fair Hearings as requested.
- Investigate and take appropriate action on client complaints.
- Provide identified monthly reports.
- Attend meetings as requested.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and obey all traffic laws.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related field preferred.
- Criminal background check and drug test required.
- Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
