JOB TYPE: Full-Time
SALARY: $17.00 an hour
SIGN-ON BONUS OF $750.
This position provides intensive treatment to severely delinquent youth and their families. This position also monitors and supports youth, and assists in the follow-through and success of each youth’s treatment. Services include individual, group, and family counseling, structured activities, curfew checks, crisis intervention, school support, assessment, and referral.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interview and evaluate clients and families to complete the intake process.
- Analyze client situations, capabilities, and problems to determine services required to meet the treatment needs of the client.
- Formulate, implement, evaluate and review individual client treatment plans.
- Formulate and facilitate treatment/educational group sessions for clients on a weekly basis.
- Exercise judgment to intervene as an advocate for clients in emergency and crisis situations.
- Monitor client behavior by conducting in-person visits each work day.
- Attend client/family court proceedings.
- Report client behavior to courts and Kenosha County Department of Human Services and make appropriate recommendations.
- Formulate units, monthly reports, and discharge summaries per program standards.
- Organize and facilitate structured group, individual and/or family activities on a weekly basis.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and obey all traffic laws. Must have reliable transportation on a daily basis, a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
- Safely transport clients as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or other related fields.
- The position must keep current on information pertaining to client/family needs through seminars, trainings, media, text, and research.
- CPR certified.
