Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural design for construction projects, with a strong focus on flood barrier installation, resilience, and compliance with building codes.

Qualifications

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Structural or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis

4-8 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 2 years post-licensure

Proficiency with structural analysis/design software (RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, STAAD)

Key Responsibilities:

Design and analyze structural components for buildings and flood barriers

Prepare detailed structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for flood barrier installation projects

Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and construction teams to ensure projects are safe, compliant, and efficiently executed

Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor proposals

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and flood protection standards

Conduct inspections and site visits to monitor construction progress, quality, and safety

Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
