    Professor of Artificial Intelligence Grayson College is seeking to fill a full-time faculty position to provides instruction and training to students related to Artificial Intelligence (AI).

    Contingent upon grant funding (four year grant)

    Responsibilities:

    55% Teaches at least 15 SCHS (load hours) per long semester (Fall/Spring); meets classes as assigned and provides assistance to students outside of class. Instructs in a variety of settings and formats, including dual credit, online, hybrids, and occasionally weekends/evenings.

    25% Works as team member in the department; develops and implements a program of instruction that meets the needs of the students as well as area businesses; adheres to national/state regulations; complies with the ‘faculty responsibilities’ as outlined in the Faculty Handbook and the College’s Policy and Procedure Manual; develops and updates curriculum and measure student learning outcomes as needed to meet THECB Exemplary Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.

    15% Contributes to the campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements. Participates in College committees. Assists in registration, advisement, and recruiting of students.

    5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Masters in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related field with coursework such as Software Development for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning & Natural Language Processing, Artificial Intelligence Programming, Applied Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence and Business, and Artificial Intelligence and Analytics (data science). AWS certifications in Machine Learning, AI Practitioner, and Gen AI developer or similar certifications from CompTIA or Microsoft preferred. bing Examiners, or by a recognized reciprocal entity, that allows the person to perform work in the discipline within the State of Texas.

    Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success. Collegial attitude with the college community as well as outside entities. Cooperative attitude and excellent team skills.

    Other Skills: Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments. Experience tracking student learning outcomes, analyzing resultant data, and implementing improvement plans. Excellent computer and multimedia skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills.

    Physical Requirements: The work is typically walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, etc.

    Work Environment: Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a typical office and/or electrical lab setting.
