    Position Summary:

    The Quality & Food Safety Associate is responsible for supporting the implementation and enhancement of Profile's quality and food safety programs, under the direction of the department Manager.

    Responsibilities:

    To support the Quality and Food Safety Manager & Profile’s robust BRC program by assisting in the following areas:

    1. Internal Audits

    Maintenance of Corrective and Preventive Action Log & Status

    1. Customer Compliance Requests

    Customer Corrective Action items

    Assistance with procurement process by communication with suppliers

    1. Training Support

    Training and oversight of all Quality & Food Safety programs and enforcement

    1. Supplier Certification

    Administration & Documentation

    1. Lab work

    Preparation, testing, record keeping, & reporting

    1. Microbiological & Chemical Sampling

    Submission to third party along with review and reporting of results

    1. Other duties and responsibilities regarding Quality & Food Safety as needed

    Skills, Experience, & Qualifications:

    Associates degree or equivalent experience is required

    Attention to detail and organization in all aspects of work

    A high level of self-direction and motivation

    Must have visual acuity in order to detect product deficiencies and food safety issues and report to management

    Positive attitude, willingness to support and promote a continuous improvement culture

    Ability to make decisions and prioritize work based on company needs

    Ability to adapt and use change management skills

    Ability to professionally interact with customers through email communication

    Ability to work well with others in a culturally diverse and growing work environment

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Experience in a GFSI benchmarked audit scheme is preferred

    Experience within a Food/Production Manufacturing Environment is preferred

    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

    Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required

    Must be physically able to walk throughout the plant and climb ladder and step stools as required

    Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs
