Profile Films is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Material Planner to be responsible for the planning and management of our general supply chain of consumable items. This person will also support material scheduling, select shipping/receiving functions, and other procurement tasks.
Responsibilities:
Tracking production volume and monitoring customer demand patterns and purchasing trends.
Creates new purchase orders and maintains supplier relations in terms of following up on receipt of goods pricing, RFQ’s (Request for Quotes), and delivery terms.
Interfaces with production administration, sales, customer service, and floor supervisors on material status and production planning issues/needs.
Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
Manages inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
Monthly inventory participation / Cycle counts
Emergency back up to receiving department
Direct back up to Logistics/Procurement Director
Other duties and responsibilities regarding production support and buying as needed
Qualifications/Skills:
1-3 years’ experience in material planning, purchasing, inventory management, or similar
Commitment to providing excellent service to internal and external customers
High energy level and self-motivated, with the ability to know when to ask for direction
Excellent attention to detail and organization
Ability to communicate relevant information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word); MRP system experience a plus
Bachelors’ degree in related field preferred
