The Human Resources Generalist will manage the Human Resources functions to ensure Progistics dba Fragile Pak is attracting, motivating, and retaining a high-performing, diverse, and successful workforce. The position is responsible for recruiting efforts, handling employee relations issues, benefit administration and assisting with Talent Management process to create and maintain a positive working environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Partner with employees and management to communicate various HR policies, procedures, laws, standards, and government regulations.
• Facilitate resolution of employee complaints
• Conduct investigations into employee allegations.
• Screen, recruit, and interview potential hourly candidates for open positions
• Maintain required documentation, including Disciplinary Action Forms, Attendance, PTO etc.
• On-board and train new employees Implement company culture, values and policies
• Create and maintain personnel records.
• Responsible for being the first point of contact for hourly employees
• Administer employee benefits for the selected group
• Assists the VP of Human Resources in the development and maintenance of processes and policies as well as new initiatives
• Apprise and escalates potential legal, risk, safety, etc. concerns to the VP of Human Resources

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and four (4) years of relevant work experience.

• Experience: Four (4) years of relevant work experience in a Business Partner or Generalist capacity.

• PHR, SHRM-CP, or CHRP Certification preferred.

• Comfortable with high volume workload and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Required to use motor coordination with finger dexterity (such as keyboarding, .) most of the work day;

• Required to exert physical effort in handling objects less than 30 pounds rarely;

• Required to be exposed to physical environment which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements rarely;

• Normal setting for this job is an office setting, however, operational site visits are required with exposure to weather and areas where large equipment is operated.
