Securing healthcare services (medical home, dental care, wellness programs)
Linkages to mental health and substance abuse support
Guidance with benefits enrollment (health insurance, income support)
On-site counseling, therapy, support groups, and assistance with emotional well-being and relationship challenges
Life skills development to foster independence
Community reintegration through social activities and connections
Transportation and accompaniment services
Additional support to achieve long-term housing stability

Job Summary
The Program Aide plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, secure, and respectful living environment for participants residing in Joyous Ventures’ interim housing programs. Working closely with behavioral health and case management teams, the Program Aide supports participants’ daily needs and contributes to their progress toward stability and self-sufficiency. This role combines elements of residential support, safety monitoring, and participant engagement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Welcome and orient new participants to the facility and program expectations
Assist with participant transitions, including exits and room changes
Monitor participant activities in common areas and sleeping quarters
Provide basic guidance and emotional support while maintaining professional boundaries
Encourage participation in chores, programming, and supportive services
Maintain a drug, alcohol and violence-free living environment
Educate and consistently enforce program policies and procedures
Conduct hourly wellness and safety checks throughout the facility
Promptly report compliance concerns, behavioral incidents, or safety risks to supervisors
Respond to medical emergencies, administer First Aid/CPR, and follow established protocols
Maintain accurate and timely shift documentation, including incident reports and participant observations
Light housekeeping
Support inventory tracking, supply distribution, and basic room inspections
Certifications Required
Food Handler Certification
BLS/CPR Certification
