    JOB TITLE: Program Coordinator - AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program (FGP)

    FLSA STATUS: Full-time, Salary - Exempt

    LOCATION: Pottstown, PA

    SUPERVISOR: Director - Foster Grandparent Program

    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    The Program Coordinator for the AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) is responsible for the day-to-day administration of this federally grant-funded initiative. The Program Coordinator oversees recruitment and onboarding of new volunteer stations, coordination of FGP volunteer placements, evaluation of FGP programming and volunteers, in-service training, and recognition of AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program volunteers. The Program Coordinator works collaboratively with the FGP Team (FGP Director and FGP Volunteer Engagement Coordinator) to ensure quality, compliant programming for all stakeholders. They also gather and maintain data and records in accordance with AmeriCorps Seniors’ guidelines and participate in ongoing process improvement. YW3CA mandates that all staff adhere to YW3CA policies, procedures, and mission statement.

    WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

    Lead the day-to-day administration of the program with support as needed from the FGP Director and FGP Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

    Build relationships with public schools, childcare centers, and other community partners to grow volunteer stations and establish and maintain Memorandums of Understanding with stations

    Execute and refine volunteer station recruitment and onboarding processes, including presentations, meetings, and meet-and-greet sessions

    Coordinate FGP volunteer placements and address concerns from volunteers or stations promptly

    Oversee evaluation of volunteer stations and FGP volunteers and gather required data for annual reporting on grant performance measures

    Plan and facilitate in-service FGP volunteer training

    Ensure all volunteer records are collected, updated, and maintained in accordance with AmeriCorps Seniors’ guidelines

    Work with the FGP Director to develop annual program goals and continually improve FGP processes to maintain program quality and compliance with grant guidelines

    Other duties as required that support the administration of the FGP program and fall within the scope of the role

    WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE POSITION:

    A passion for working with a diverse aging population and a variety of internal and external stakeholders

    Knowledge of Montgomery County and Chester County community resources/contacts for older adults preferred

    A strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

    A strong presentation skills and meticulous attention to detail in developing and delivering FGP content

    An ability to maintain employee records while ensuring confidentiality and sensitivity

    Knowledge of and sensitivity to the issues facing the community served

    Resourcefulness and flexibility to meet the demands of the position and needs of the organization

    An understanding of YW3CA’s mission, goals, and objectives to contribute as a part of a larger team

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, creative problem-solving, and effective time management skills

    Willingness to travel throughout Montgomery County and Chester County for programming activities on a regular basis

    A strong desire for continued growth and learning

    An ability to work independently and remain goal oriented

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    AA or BA in Social Services or related field, or equivalent relevant experience

    Project management experience preferred

    Volunteer management experience preferred

    Community engagement and relationship building experience preferred

    Must possess a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
