About the Company Sickle Cell Disease Enhanced Care Management, LLC (SCDECM), a subsidiary of the Center for Inherited Blood Disorders, connects individuals living with sickle cell disease (SCD) to comprehensive Enhanced Care Management (ECM) services. Through partnerships between community health workers and clinical teams that specialize in the care of persons with SCD, SCDECM ensures patients receive coordinated, wrap-around support that addresses both medical and social determinants of health. As a subsidiary of the Center for Comprehensive Care and Diagnosis of Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD), SCDECM extends CIBD's mission by bridging the gap between clinical treatment and community-based care coordination, facilitating continuity of care.
Job Summary The Program Coordinator reports directly to CIBD's Director of Grants, provides administrative support and coordinates managed care plan applications, program operations, and the credentialing process.
Schedule: M - F, 8:30 - 5:00 Location: On-site at CIBD's location
Essential Duties
Administrative Support: Maintain accurate and organized program records and documentation; Coordinate scheduling for program activities, meetings, and appointments; Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence as needed; Manage program databases and ensure data integrity; Support communication between team members, healthcare providers, and stakeholders; Assist with general office operations and administrative tasks.
Managed Care Plan Applications & Credentialing: Complete and submit applications for enrollment with managed care plans; Gather and organize required documentation for credentialing processes; Track application status and follow up with managed care organizations; Maintain credentialing files and ensure compliance with renewal deadlines; Coordinate with providers and administrative staff to obtain necessary credentials; Stay current on managed care plan requirements and credentialing standards; Prepare and submit re-credentialing applications in a timely manner.
Program Coordination: Coordinate team meetings, training sessions, and program-related events; Manage program communications and serve as a point of contact for inquiries; Support onboarding and training of new care coordination staff; Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, and procurement activities; Collaborate with cross-functional teams including clinical staff, billing, and compliance departments; Support care coordination activities for program participants; Help identify and address barriers to care access; Contribute to quality improvement efforts.
Required Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1 years of administrative or healthcare coordination experience
