    JOB SUMMARY:

    Provide support and instruction to direct care staff to ensure that clients are properly supported. Coordinate client care with direct care staff, financial and medical staff. Provide support to adults with developmental disabilities to live independently in the Excel Supported Living, Inc. services are based upon individual needs, wants, and desires. Services are focused on maintaining health and safety while promoting independence and an increased quality of life through consistent instruction and support.

    Starting Pay: $23 / hr based on level of experience

    Schedule:

    This position also requires the ability and commitment to working a flexible schedule, which may include early mornings, late evenings, holidays and weekends.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Must Pass State/Federal Background Check

    High school diploma or GED equivalent; at least 18 years of age at time of employment

    Possess a valid driver’s license.

    An insured and safe automobile.

    4 years of direct care

    4 years of leadership role

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences or 3 years relatable job experience

    Behavioral Experience

    Case management

    2 Years of working with developmental disabilities

    Physical Qualifications:

    The employee must frequently transfer, lift or move objects and clients weighing over 50 pounds. Physical ability to perform CPR and First Aid, as needed.

    The skills and abilities required for this position but are not limited to:

    Skillful in planning, prioritizing, and organizing regular work assignments while problem solving and multi-tasking new assignments that arise with a high level of priority

    Inspires, teaches, mentors &/or coaches others and positively contributes to high employee morale and work group effectiveness

    Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with participants families, medical professionals/therapists, and other outside agencies

    Observant and detail orientated

    Consistently sets high expectations and standards of employee behavior; follows employer rules; and exemplifies the traits defined in the Excel’s mission

    Exemplifies leadership through cooperative and motivational skills and sustains clear communication with others

    Maintaining proper documentation and logs of all supported individuals, e.g., incident reports, medication, etc.

    Provide genuine support and empower individuals with diverse disabilities.

    Able to adapt to changing needs and handling challenging situations with patience and professionalism.

    Manage and maintaining staff scheduling.

    Transportation to appointments and community events as needed.
