Are you a student with a strong financial background and a passion for credit analysis and risk management? Pilot Company is seeking a Commercial Credit and Trade Finance Intern for the summer of 2026 at our SC Fuels office at 1800 W Katella Ave, #400, Orange, CA. This is a unique opportunity to directly support our Energy Trading, Marketing, and Logistics platform by assisting with key credit and trade finance initiatives.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our Finance department, tackling key responsibilities that will provide you with practical, hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment. You'll gain valuable insights into how we manage risk, onboard new partners, and ensure the stability of our trading operations.
What You'll Do
Your responsibilities may include:
Credit Analysis: Assist in credit scoring, analysis, and reviews to support the credit limit approval process.
System Maintenance: Help maintain our credit and collateral system of record, including updating counterpart information, credit ratings, and trade credit insurance details.
Reporting: Assist in building and improving reporting layouts to support daily credit tasks and provide periodic reports to commercial and senior management.
Onboarding and Compliance: Support the onboarding of new trading entities and assist the Compliance team with Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
Trade Support: Help manage daily trade reports and distribute approved trading lists to relevant teams.
Qualifications
Education: You should be a student pursuing a degree in Finance, Business Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
Technical Skills: Intermediate Microsoft Office skills are required, with advanced skills preferred. Experience with financial software or credit systems is a plus.
Soft Skills: You must have strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. You should also have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Additional Information
This internship is a paid, full-time program, running from June 1 through August 6, 2026.
Pay Rates Starting between: $18.50 - $28/hour
