Position Summary:
Sankofa Holistic Counseling Services is seeking a highly organized Behavioral Health Clinical Manager to support the CEO and oversee various operational aspects of the practice. The Behavioral Health Clinical Manager is distinguished from the lower-level class of Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor in that the latter does not have overall responsibility for program planning, development, evaluation, program reporting, statistics, and program outcome monitoring. This position will oversee the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, billing team, HR support, quality assurance, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
EHR Management: Oversee and maintain the practice’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring proper documentation, updates, and compliance with relevant standards.
Policy and Procedure Oversight: Develop, update, and enforce organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and smooth day-to-day operations.
Billing Oversight: Manage and supervise the billing team, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, tracking of payments, and resolution of any billing issues.
Human Resources Support: Assist with HR functions, including staff onboarding, training, maintaining employee records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
Quality Assurance: Monitor the quality of services delivered, conducting periodic reviews to ensure the practice meets its standards of care and regulatory requirements.
Operations Support: Oversee daily operations, working closely with staff to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and within established timelines.
Other Duties: Assist the CEO with additional tasks and projects as assigned, including special initiatives to support the growth and development of the practice.
Qualifications:
Education:
Possession of a master’s degree from an accredited school in social work, marriage and family therapy, psychology, counseling, nursing or related field.
License/Certification:
Possession of valid clinical license/registration from the one of the applicable licensing authorities: California Board of Behavioral Sciences, California Board of Psychology, or California Board of Nursing.
Experience:
Proven experience in a management or program management role, preferably in a healthcare or mental health setting.
Experience overseeing EHR systems, billing processes, and managing HR or quality assurance functions.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong managerial skills with the ability to lead teams and foster collaboration.
Ability to work well with others and maintain positive relationships with staff and external stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proficiency with healthcare management software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
