Beyond Karate — More Than a Dojo
Beyond Karate is a community enrichment center supporting children, teens, and adults of all abilities. We provide inclusive programs that nurture physical strength, creativity, confidence, and life skills—meeting each participant where they are and supporting growth on and off the mat.
Our offerings include martial arts fitness, self-defense, creative workshops, life skills coaching, leadership work training, tutoring, seasonal camps, and family coaching and advocacy. Programs are tailored to individual needs and are designed to support participants from ages 4 through adulthood.
Inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. We foster a welcoming environment where students, families, and instructors come together as a supportive community. Our instructors serve not only as teachers, but as mentors—helping participants build confidence, self-esteem, and the tools needed to navigate daily life with purpose.
Founded by Sensei Mallica Skyler Cooper, Beyond Karate blends martial arts principles with mindfulness, movement, and hands-on learning to empower the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. Whether a participant’s goal is fitness, confidence, creativity, independence, or connection, Beyond Karate offers a space to grow.
