Program Technician

General Summary:
The Program Technician is the entry level position in the Clinical Services department. Program Technicians are responsible for assisting and supporting clients through the entire treatment experience, from admission through discharge, of the Intensive Outpatient Program, Partial Hospitalization Program, Outpatient Program, and Outpatient Detoxification Program.
Job Duties:
Helps ensure client safety
Leads psychoeducational groups
Orients new clients to the program, its requirements, intent, and routine.
Completes new admission intake procedures according to Recovery Dynamics LLC policies on all new admissions (UA, belongings searches, paperwork).
Charts observations of clients' behaviors and participation in programming, following prescribed procedures and standards.
Responds to client’s emotional/behavioral episodes and provides assistance in crisis intervention.
Maintains confidentiality of client records.
Transports clients to appointments, meetings etc.
Maintains a clean environment by completing the cleaning required on the shift worked
Performs client intake forms, including release of information forms.
Takes client’s vital signs, weights and urine specimens.
Runs errands as needed
Attends in-service education and staff meetings as appropriate.
Assists with Case Management duties and/or documentation within Recovery Dynamics LLC and DHCS timelines
Assists with medications for clients in accordance to Recovery Dynamics LLC and DHCS guidelines
Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in service meetings and workshops.
Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary team for all clients.
Administers detoxification protocols (completion of CIWA, COWS forms, vital signs, rounds if needed) on all detoxification clients.
Files, copies, and attends to other office duties
Crisis intervention
Performs other duties as assigned by Clinical Director/Executive Director.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current registration as a Registered Recovery Worker or Registered Student through CCAPP.
One year of experience in a human services setting; strong professional references attesting to high degree of customer service, punctuality, and professionalism.
Ability to follow instructions clearly and precisely while experiencing multiple competing demands for employee time.
Current certification in First Aid/CPR.
