    Job Description

    NBC Universal is seeking a Programming Specialist to join a driven and highly motivated team located in Centennial, CO as part of the Program Operations Media Operations team. This Specialist role will have a primary focus on international play-out delivery and will gain valuable experience in our enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with the rest of Media Operations, Product, QC, Compliance, Edit and Engineering teams across multiple site locations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Closely integrate with Program Planning teams to gather insights such as high-profile premieres, volume fluctuations and special stunts. Determine requirements and timelines to ensure media is prepped and delivered to accommodate channel strategy
    • Track digital media fulfillment in Media Asset Management system, ensuring content is prepped in every queue by SLA. Prioritize media prep during times of influx.
    • Develop strong partnerships with Media and Post Operations, communicate and collaborate to prepare for volume increases, special requests and quick turns.
    • Closely partner with Promo and VOD colleagues, ensuring content is prepped on time for on-air campaigns and VOD deliverables
    • Manage escalations from playout and clients. Ensure channel inquiries are responded to with appropriate follow up and resolution.
    • Partner with localization team to ensure all channel language requirements are captured, digital proxies delivered and returned languages pass QC
    • Place orders in various order management systems
    • Track content missing lists, ensure all media is delivered to SLA
    • Will be expected to upload new content if there are issues- must have complete understanding of internal workflow tools that the Specialist would be trained on.
    • May be asked to assist on other assignments across the team pending bandwidth.
    • Is expected to be available off hours if there are critical issues.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • BA/BS in a related field and/or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of experience in a production, post-production or broadcast environment.
    • 2+ in a role requiring effective communication with diverse audiences, ranging from non-technical senior leadership executives to technical professionals and operations staff.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Superior customer service skills
    • Ability to manage a high volume of emails while maintaining timely responsiveness
    • Highly developed communication and oral presentation skills
    • Must be willing to work on site in Centennial, Colorado or New York, New York
    • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays as needed with advance notice
    • Proficiency in additional languages is a plus

    Additional Requirements:

    • Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in-office requirements at any time.

  • Compensation
    $60,000-$60,000 per year
