  • Responsibilities

    Progressive Pumps Corp is currently seeking candidates for a pump mechanic/repair technician located in Spring, TX. The position is permanent and the pay is DOE.

    POSITION OBJECTIVES: Perform service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of pumps and equipment.

    · Perform service, repair, and overhaul of pumps, and equipment as prescribed.

    · Install/setup pumps and related pumping equipment and pumping systems

    · Provide Field Service of pump and equipment

    · Assist with deliveries, including loading of heavy equipment onto transport vehicles.

    · Document, organize, and track work orders and related forms necessary for billing/invoicing for parts and services performed on equipment.

    · Create written report of findings, scope of work, parts list, etc.

    · Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality control.

    Qualifications

    · 2+ years of pump repair experience

    · Knowledge of Rotating Equipment, Positive Displacement, and AODD pumps

    · Experience overhauling the following: AODD Pumps, End Suction Pumps, Gear Pumps, Progressive Cavity Pumps, Metering Pumps, Lobe Pumps, Submersible Pumps, ANSI Pumps, Split Case Pumps, and Vertical Turbine Pumps

    · General knowledge of wiring and testing of electric motors,

    · Perform basic machining and fabrication tasks (cutting, welding, etc.)

    · Performs basic troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

    · Experience with mechanical seals, bearings, balancing, laser alignment, vibration, and painting.

    · Requires a basic understanding of mechanical drawings, exploded views, parts lists, etc.

    · Experience with Lock out/tag out, MSDS, forklift, overhead crane, rigging,

    · High School diploma or GED required; Trade school graduate or comparable experience a plus

    · Must have a valid driver’s license

    · Must be able to pass a drug, alcohol, and background check

    · Ability to work overtime, nights, and weekends

    · Proper verbal, and written communication skills

    · Provide exceptional customer service
