Role Title: Project Accountants and Senior Project Accountants (DOE, multiple firms)
Salary: Typically $75K–$135K, depending on experience and role level
Location: San Francisco Bay Area | Hybrid or In-office

Building Talent partners with Architecture and Engineering (A/E) firms across the Bay Area to identify experienced Project Accountants and Senior Project Accountants for ongoing needs across multiple clients. We’re connecting with professionals who have direct A/E project accounting experience and want to stay informed as new opportunities arise.

Project Accountants within our clients’ firms support Principals and Project Managers and manage the financial side of project work from setup through closeout.

Key Project Accounting Responsibilities:

• Project setup, budgets, fee tracking, and reporting
• Billing, A/R, and collections
• Vendor and subconsultant invoicing
• Contract and change-order support
• Coordination with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintaining clean, accurate data in Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or similar platforms

What our clients typically look for:

• 5+ years of project accounting or A/R experience within an A/E firm or closely related professional services environment
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, formulas; Power Query/VBA a plus)
• Experience with Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint or Ajera preferred
• Detail-driven, organized, and able to support multiple active projects
