Project Accountant

About the Role:
Sinclair Construction Management is seeking a Project Accountant to support the financial operations of our construction projects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with project teams, subcontractors, and accounting staff. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing project billing, and supporting cost control throughout multiple active projects. Experience with AIA billing and platforms like Procore is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage monthly AIA billing and subcontractor pay applications
Maintain job cost reports and track budget vs. actuals
Review and code invoices, manage vendor payments, and track project expenses
Collaborate with project managers on cost tracking and financial reporting
Maintain accurate financial records in Procore and accounting systems
Monitor commitments, change orders, and progress billing
Qualifications:
1–4 years of accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
Experience with AIA billing required
Experience with Procore preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
Strong Excel and accounting software skills
Highly organized, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple projects
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range is $55,000–$85,000 depending on experience, along with health insurance, paid time off, and growth potential within a dynamic construction management firm.
