Role Overview
The Project Accountant is responsible for managing billing processes for Customer Accounts related to installation jobs and service tickets. This role involves decision-making regarding service ticket management, posting of parts and labor, and the closeout of jobs and service tickets.
Key Responsibilities
Ensuring that project reports are clear and updated
Identifying the budget and communicating it with management
Performing in-depth investigations of project expenses that may have overlooked client billings
Responding to additional customer requests for project details
Detailing remaining project funds to management for additional projects and prepare job status reports.
Communicate vendor pricing variances, equipment part number changes, part obsolesce, etc. to stakeholders in a timely manner.
Perform inventory counting for technician trucks and stock.
Prepare job status reports.
Ensure all Project Management fees are allocated properly.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or related roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in financial management software and tools, such as ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial modeling software.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
