    Job Description

    AECOM is seeking a Project Architect for our Hunt Valley, Maryland, Building + Places team to work on interesting and challenging projects for a variety of clients. This position is hybrid.

    The Project Architect will be responsible for the following:

    • Provide technical leadership as a senior architect, working with architects and engineers across various AECOM offices and with AECOM’s subconsultants.
    • Develop and oversee architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details, etc.) and specifications. Be responsible for quality approvals.
    • Work with Project Managers and Discipline Leads to define scope and work plans for design proposals and additional service requests as required.
    • Carry through construction administration, from Construction NTP to Close-out.
    • Build strong relationships and interactions with clients, consultants, project management, and other stakeholders.
    • Mentor mid-level and junior-level architectural designers to develop quality documents.
    • Become actively involved in related organizations at the leadership level, promoting AECOM goals of excellence in design, execution, and sustainability.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in architecture or a related field + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
    • Registered Architect in Maryland.
    • Experience with Revit.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 8+ years of relevant experience.
    • Advanced knowledge of the architectural planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration and Code requirements.
    • Transportation project experience strongly desired.
    • Strong organizational skills – experience with large, complex projects.
    • Detail-oriented, quality-minded, thorough.
    • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to be client-facing and to lead client discussions and charrettes.
    • Proficient in Adobe and other software used for design development and documentation.

    Additional Information
