    Job Title: Project Architect - Level II

    Position Location: Boston

    Approx. Length of Position: Direct Hire

    Degree Required: Bachelor’s or Master's degree of Architecture

    We are seeking an experienced licensed architect having 4-8+ years of professional experience with diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices uses advanced techniques, and has responsibility for finished plans, specifications, and material approval. May supervise a small staff.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare documentation for schematic design, design development, and construction documents using Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), and BIM regarding design, structure specifications, materials, color, equipment, estimated costs, or construction time.

    Advance conceptual design and design development.

    Develop and maintain BIM models, processes, and workflows.

    Coordinate work of consultants and knowledge resources to ensure project deliverables are integrated and support the design concept and the project’s performance goals.

    Direct activities of staff engaged in preparing drawings and specification documents, providing technical guidance and solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges while preserving the design intent.

    Plan and participate in project team meetings to share pertinent project information, solve problems, and resolve conflicts.

    Research and apply federal, state, and local building codes, planning and zoning regulations, and standard design practices to project; access code requirements to ensure project meets both health and safety requirements.

    Support construction administration, reviewing submittals and RFIs, preparing sketches as needed

    Required Qualifications:

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

    Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    Technical / Software skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, Newforma, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch-up or alternative rendering programs.
