About the Opportunity: This is a pivotal opportunity to lead award-winning DSA, K–12 education projects across California. You’ll shape the future of public learning environments through DSA-compliant design, collaborating with educators and communities. What You'll Do:
Lead technical development and coordination of DSA, K-12 education projects from design through construction documentation.
Serve as technical authority on DSA standards, code interpretation, and agency approvals.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, manage consultants, and guide deliverables across all phases.
Ensure project compliance, design quality, and coordination with stakeholders and government agencies.
Collaborate with project managers and principals on planning, scheduling, budgeting, and team resourcing.
Engage in occasional marketing and client-facing presentations.
Qualifications / Must Haves:
Accredited degree in Architecture or related field.
Licensed Architect in California (REQUIRED).
7+ years of experience
with demonstrated strength in public-sector or education projects.
Extensive knowledge of DSA processes, California building codes, and K–12 educational facilities.
Proficient in Revit; familiarity with production workflows and quality assurance protocols.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Must be based in Sacramento or nearby
and able to work in-office 3 days/week (Mon & Fri remote).
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $110,000 – $140,000 (DOE)
