COME HELP US REDUCE CLIMATE EMISSIONS.

Methane emissions are hard to find but easy to fix. Help us solve that.

Project Canary is a Colorado-based B-Corporation that provides real-time emissions monitoring to the energy sector in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We're looking for an individual with industry or relevant experience to join our growing team.  The ideal candidate has:

    • an understanding of industrial emissions, sources, and impacts on the environment
    • experience in communicating technical data, both in writing and verbal communication
    • experience with regulatory policy and compliance, including data integration and analysis
    • an ability to work internally and externally and to manage projects on behalf of clients

    ABOUT US (PROJECT CANARY)

Project Canary, an environmentally focused, high growth startup is seeking motivated Environmental Scientist to join our team in Denver, Colorado.

Project Canary (http://projectcanary.com/) is a fast-growing, mission-driven B-Corp that independently assesses the carbon and environmental footprints of carbon-intensive industries like oil and gas. Project Canary achieves this by ingesting data from various sources, including its own proprietary environmental sensors, to calculate carbon emissions from different facilities in real-time.

With over 5500 sites analyzed and hundreds of environmental and air quality sensors around industrial facilities currently deployed, Project Canary is positioned better than anyone to provide empirical ESG data. Our success is attributed to the motivation, skill, and teamwork of our employees, and we understand the importance of maintaining a personal relationship with each valued employee. If you enjoy a fast-paced work environment, working for a just cause, and being a valued member of a motivated team, we want to hear from you.

    ABOUT YOU

You have intellectual integrity & are always willing to learn.

We're learning everyday and we hope you can too; that process requires honesty. The data we collect is critical to our planet and our customers, and getting it wrong has consequences.

Your relevant skills and experience include:

    • Degree in environmental studies, environmental science, meteorology, chemistry, petroleum engineering, or other related field
    • Technical writing
    • Data analysis and interpretation
    • 2-5 years of experience in the environmental field

    Additionally, you are:

    • Available full time
    • Available immediately

It would be a bonus if you have:

    • Regulatory experience
    • Familiarity with Colorado environmental regulations
    • A tolerance for (admittedly mediocre) workplace puns

    OTHER POSITION DETAILS:

    • Fully remote - our company offices are based in Denver and Austin, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the office when COVID-19 levels subside
    • Full-time
    • Immediate start date
      • Benefits including generous 401k match and healthcare
      • Stipend for office related expenses
      • Equity incentives
    • Salary range $65-75k commensurate with experience
