Position Title: Project Controller
Location: Havre de Grace, MD; Onsite 80%
Reports To: Director of Finance
Job Type: Full-time
Clearance Requirement: Secret eligible (able to process, US citizenship is a must)
Summary:
We are seeking a Project Controller to join an existing Finance team. This role will focus on managing most financial aspects of a specific program. This position offers opportunity to expand skills, learning from a talented existing team within a growing company on an upward growth trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Budget Tracking (Labor, Travel & ODCs): Track travel and Other Direct Costs (ODC) budgets, requests, and reimbursements.
- Spend Plan & Budget Allocation: Formulate detailed spend plans and allocate budgets for labor and subcontractors.
- Develop and track purchase orders for acquiring materials. Coordinate with the logistics supply team on POs, acceptance, delivery, repair and warranty transactions.
- Task Order Reporting: Develop and track individual task order spend plans and prepare related reports.
- Timekeeping Oversight: Monitor timekeeping system compliance and accuracy for both internal teams and external contractors.
- PM Support & Coordination: Provide direct support to Project Managers (PMs) and ensure seamless communication with corporate resources.

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Math, or similar fields.
- 3 years of experience may be substituted for education
Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years experience with project budget and tracking of materials.
- Prefer prior military or defense related experience with supply chain management and purchasing.
Skills:
- Expert use of accounting software and spreadsheets (Google Sheets).
- Prefer experience with Procas (or equivalent accounting system for defense contractors, such as Deltek, Exostar) Strong understanding of project lifecycle, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control principles.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong written and verbal skills.
- Strong customer service and team-building skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to travel as required.
- Standard office environment with occasional requirements to visit client sites, labs, or field environments.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive Pay: Annual salary ranges from $40,000 to $85,000. Salaries depend on labor category, years of experience, education, skills relevant to the position, and type of contract.
