Overview
Seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to support schedule development, maintenance, cost analysis, and integrated project controls activities for high-impact engineering and construction projects. This role provides critical support to engineering and operations teams, ensuring disciplined project execution, accurate schedule/cost performance reporting, and adherence to internal program requirements.
The ideal candidate brings a strong command of Primavera P6, understands complex engineering workflows, and can operate in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environments with minimal oversight.
Core Responsibilities
Uphold all safety, security, and operational compliance requirements.
Maintain required site training and incorporate safety/security into every task.

Project Controls Functions
Develop, analyze, and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar tools.
Create and manage resource-loaded schedules aligned with project milestones and deliverables.
Validate schedule updates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance.
Monitor schedule performance, identify variances, and recommend recovery strategies.
Support cost estimating, cost control, and cost/schedule integration activities.
Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly project control reports for engineering leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure data integrity and alignment with internal procedures and project requirements.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior project controls personnel.
Job Knowledge & Skill Requirements
Advanced understanding of project controls, CPM scheduling, and performance measurement.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 (required).
Strong Excel skills and ability to translate data into operational insights.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
Strong understanding of engineering and construction workflows.
Ability to handle competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
Exceptional communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working within structured, procedure-driven environments (nuclear/DOE/NNSA experience is a plus, but not required).
Qualifications
5–8 years of project controls experience supporting complex engineering and construction projects.
Strong P6 experience required; advanced certifications preferred (PMI-SP, PMP, AACE, etc.).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across technical teams.
