About the Role
Wenger Construction is seeking a driven, organized, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support the success of our commercial flat roofing projects. This position plays a key role in planning, estimating, procurement, and administrative coordination — ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
As a Project Coordinator, you’ll work closely with project managers, estimators, and field leaders to organize materials, review scopes, and streamline communication between the office, vendors, and the field. This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in construction management or project coordination who’s ready to grow in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Project Scoping & Review: Analyze scopes of work, plans, and specifications for assigned projects.
· Material Research & Compliance: Research materials and verify installation guidelines for compliance with manufacturer and project requirements.
· Submittals & Samples: Prepare and submit submittal packages, shop drawings, and material samples; manage communication with general contractors and architects.
· Digital Take-Offs: Use Planswift (or similar software) to perform material take-offs and break projects into defined tasks, labor hours, and material needs.
· Procurement & Tracking: Work with vendors to order materials, create purchase orders, and coordinate delivery logistics.
· RFIs: Draft and track Requests for Information to clarify scope or resolve field issues.
· Production Binders: Assemble organized project binders with critical documentation for project managers and field teams.
· Estimating & Proposals: Support estimating efforts for new bids and change orders through detailed take-offs and scope evaluations.
· Cost Tracking: Maintain accurate job cost ledgers and monitor budget performance.
· Field Support: Visit job sites as needed to verify conditions and provide documentation support.
· Project Coordination: Coordinate project activities, schedules, and communication between departments to keep projects on track.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
· Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience
· 2+ years of experience in project coordination, estimating, or construction administration preferred
· Experience with commercial roofing or flat roofing systems strongly preferred
· Familiarity with submittals, take-offs, job costing, and material procurement
· Experience with Planswift or AutoCAD (or similar CAD software) is a strong plus
· General knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment
