The Asian American Center of Frederick is on a mission to equip and empower all immigrants to become independent and self-sufficient contributors to their communities and American society. We are currently recruiting for an organized and analytical Project Coordinator to join our expanding, dynamic team. As our Project Coordinator, you will work daily with the Project Manager and collaborate frequently closely with our Case Manager and our training and workforce development teams to ensure clients’ successful integration into American society through workplace training and apprenticeships. What You’ll Do in this Role:
Project Planning and Implementation:
Under the guidance and direction of the Project Manager you help develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs
You will plan, coordinate, and execute both in-person and virtual apprenticeship events
You will coordinate with training providers, employers, and community organizations to deliver program components
You will ensure that program activities align with organizational goals, client needs, and grant requirements
Client Coordination:
You will assist clients in enrolling in pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs
You will provide ongoing support to clients, helping them navigate the training and employment process
You will monitor client progress and address any issues or barriers to success
Stakeholder Engagement:
You will help AACF maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including employers, training providers, and community partners
You will facilitate communication and collaboration among all parties involved in the program, including scheduling meetings and circulating relevant notes and documents
Reporting and Documentation:
You will track and document program activities, client progress, and outcomes in our database management system
You will prepare regular reports for management and funding agencies
You will support our team in preparation of large program annual reports
You will ensure compliance with all program requirements and guidelines, reporting issues upward as needed
Quality Assurance:
You will monitor and evaluate program effectiveness through prescribed channels and make recommendations for improvements as needed
You will help implement best practices to ensure successful program delivery
Our Ideal candidate* would have the following experience and skills:
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field, Master’s preferred
1+ years of experience in project coordination, case management, or a related role
Experience in the administration of grant-funded projects
Knowledge of Frederick County
Knowledge of the healthcare industry and apprenticeship programs
Experience working with immigrant populations and understanding of the unique challenges they face
Familiarity with local community resources and services for immigrants
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bilingual/multilingual abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite and project management software
Digital literacy including ability to use common computer applications and the propensity to learn and adopt new platforms quickly
A valid driver's license
A flexible schedule, some evenings and weekends will be required
