    Job Description

    The Project Coordinator supports the successful execution of custom engineered-to-order projects from order receipt through design, manufacturing, and delivery. This role serves as a key liaison between Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and customers to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and in alignment with customer requirements. The Project Coordinator is responsible for planning, tracking, documenting, and communicating project progress while helping to identify and resolve potential risks or delays.

    This is a full-time, in-office position based in Charleroi, Pennsylvania. Candidates must either reside locally or be willing to relocate at their own expense.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Project Planning and Coordination

    • Assist Project Managers in planning and coordinating custom engineered-to-order projects.
    • Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
    • Coordinate cross-functional activities between Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and Sales.
    • Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and properly maintained.
    • Track project deliverables and ensure adherence to contractual and internal deadlines.
    • Manage and coordinate small scale projects when required.

    Communication and Collaboration

    • Serve as a central point of contact for internal teams regarding project status and updates.
    • Facilitate regular project meetings and document meeting minutes and action items.
    • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to Project Managers and stakeholders.
    • Assist in coordinating customer communications, submittals, and deliverables.

    Project Tracking and Reporting

    • Monitor project progress and update project management systems.
    • Track engineering releases, procurement status, manufacturing progress, and shipment schedules.
    • Identify potential delays or risks and escalate issues to the Project Manager.
    • Prepare project status reports and summaries for leadership and stakeholders.

    Documentation and Administrative Support

    • Maintain project files, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
    • Coordinate document control for engineering drawings and revisions.
    • Assist with order entry review, job setup, and project closeout activities.
    • Support continuous improvement of project coordination processes.

    • Strong interpersonal and coordination skills.
    • High level of accountability and professionalism.
    • Willingness to engage on the shop floor as needed
    • Occasional travel to customer sites
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED. Associate’s Degree in Business, Project Management, or related field preferred.
    • 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, project administration, or similar role.
    • Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or engineered-to-order environment strongly preferred.
    • Familiarity with project lifecycle from design through manufacturing and delivery.

    Additional Information

    Our job titles may span more than one career level. The hourly rate for this role is currently $28.00-$31.00/hour. The actual rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. More information on offered benefits, which include health, welfare, and retirement, are available at mywabtecbenefits.com.
